Research Committee Description

NAME:  Research Committee (standing committee)

REPORTS TO:  Board of Directors via one of the directors at large

STRUCTURE:  At least three members from the general membership.

PURPOSE:  To support neonatal nursing research, to promote the dissemination and utilization of neonatal research findings for the improvement of neonatal care, and to promote research through education and awareness of the research process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:     

    * Facilitates special projects to meet Research Committee goals.
    * Publishes research-related items in NANN newsletter and journal.
    * Prepares a research agenda for NANN, with approval from the NANN Board.
    * Oversee and judges the NANN Annual Research Abstract Award.
